Day One-join the vessel in Monaco. Spend the morning exploring the Principalitie, Jaques Cousteau's Hydrographic Institute and other sights. Set off early afternoon for a late lunch in Saint Jean Cap Ferrat, either on board or at the Paloma Beach restaurant. Late afternoon swim and back to Monaco for the night. Perhaps some dancing at Jimmy'z or the more recent Carrément. 2-move northeast to San Remo, 2 hrs. Super shopping. Quintessential Italian riviera. Make sure to have an espresso on the sidewalk. It's the law here, I think. 3-depart at midnight for Viareggio, 8hrs. Arrive in time for breakfast and then head into Pisa for a view and a carbonara. 4-move to La Spezia, 2 hrs. Play with the toys in La Spezia bay or if it's nice enough out, we'll take advantage of the weather and stop off at Cinque Terre while we have the opportunity. Spend the evening in Porto Lotti Marina. 5-second day in La Spezia, we can do what we didn't accomplish yesterday. Maybe head into Portovenere for dinner at Da Iseo. 6-move up to Portofino, 3 hrs. This town is not to be missed. Probably the most painted harbor in the Med. Gorgeous and cute with many art galleries. 7-move to Genoa late in the day. If you want to explore the town, we can go earlier, but you'll probably want to hang out in Portofino as long as possible. 8-depart vessel from Genoa. |
